Paola Loves Clay

There is no room for pretty nails in my life because Clay comes first.

Working with clay is messy and unpredictable, but it is fun and it helps me to let go of expectations.

I don’t use molds and my pottery and sculture is individually hand made. All pieces are unique in shape and they vary in size and color.

When I am throwing pottery on the wheel, I am wrapped in a time warp watching the wheel spinning, centering, and shaping the clay spontaneously. When I am sculpting clay my brain is spinning instead of the wheel: figuring ratio, depth, measuring.
